The Dreyeckland region: a multicultural area

by Jean-François MATTLER - webmaster last modified 2006-12-04 10:45

A visit to the Dreyeckland will enable you to realise to what extent there is perfect harmony between French, German and Swiss cultures in the area, a truly European region.

if you make a little detour via Basle in Switzerland you will hear "Schwitzerdutsch" being spoken, which is also called Swiss German. People speak it also frequently in French towns like Altkirch or Ferrette, in addition to French. Over a weekend, you may travel through an area that lives daily to the tune of Europe: that area is also known as the Dreyeckland!
